AO4 - Discipline

Task AO4 will involve an overnight stay at Chepstow Army Barracks, South Wales.  Here you will be shown the importance of discipline and why the Army puts such a heavy emphasis on it.  I will write a witness statement on how you perform over the 2 daysincluding how disciplined you are throughout the challenges. 

After the stay you will then write a report on why discipline is so important within the Army and relate this to your experiences at Chepstow and how these could transend to real life Army examples.  Things included in your report will be;

The role of discipline within the Armed Forces

Rules, regulations and procedures

Regard for the interests of the Service

The importance of following orders

Functions of an hierarchical structure

The importance of uniformity

Methods of military discipline (The Armed Forces Act 2006 and Queen’s Regulations)

The vital role of ‘the team’ and the development of teamwork
